An underwing panel was made to close out the area between the spars. That panel includes the fairings below the wing. An above wing fillet fairing was extended beyond the wing trailing edge.
In the beginning, I decided to stretch the fuselage a bay beyond the KR2S. In addition, I added 1.75 inches forward of the spar. Then, I decided to use a Lycoming O235. After an initial weight and balance, I discovered that 1.75 was not needed. Oh well, too late.
The structure is spruce and mahogany ply.
